SHIP MUSEUM SANTO ANDRÉ

The Santo André Museum Ship was a Portuguese cod fishing vessel.

Aveiro's Walkways

Over seven kilometers, on wooden or dirt trails, you can do this route that follows the ria on foot or by bicycle.

Nature has been generous to these parts and shows scenarios that change according to the will of the waters, the glasswort grows as it pleases and the stilt-leggers walk around in their acrobatics. This walkway is strategically located, as if it were an extension of the ria.

S.Jacinto Dunes Natural Reserve

The São Jacinto Dune Nature Reserve, with about 960ha of protected area, lies on a narrow peninsula between the Atlantic and the Ria de Aveiro, from Ovar to the small fishing village of São Jacinto.

Part of this reserve is the huge and well-preserved dune cordon and the S. Jacinto Dunes National Forest, rich in fana and flora, and home to many birds, such as warblers and waders.

Running between the waters of the ria and the beach, an extensive walkway makes us discover the attractions of a strip of land that, in the past, was once an ocean.
